Class of 1968 Website
September 28, 2018
4 years and 9 days since
our Reunion.
OUR 50TH REUNION WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!  Over 170 classmates and guests attended the Friday night party at the Springfield Country Club.  Many long lost friends were reunited. We partied like it was 1968!   Everyone danced to a DJ playing familiar oldies from our youthful days at "Canteen" dances, middle school mixers and high school proms.  The committee hired a photobooth so couples could have portraits made on site.  A private photographer took group shots of various former UDHS sports teams who gathered along with other groups of elementary school classmates who have known each other since kindergarten.  What a night!

Committee members made themed baskets for raffle and 50/50 tickets were sold.  All proceeds (about$1,000) will be added to our "Angel Fund."

The weekend continued on Saturday morning with a group of grads and guests visiting the American Museum of the Revolution in Center City followed by a catered lunch at the City Tavern.

Saturday evening, Patricia Behrle Gorman ("Trish") and her husband, Jim, opened up their home for UDHS graduates and guests to continue the party weekend.  A pizza food truck with dynamite pizza was on site for custom orders. Committee members provided appetizers and desserts along with wine and beer for the event.  Jim Gorman surprised Trish and her fellow grads with a visit from the Fralinger String Band.  Oh Dem Golden Slippers they were!  Everyone danced and reminisced of days on Broad Street.

Our feet were throbbing at the end of the weekend and the adrenaline was still pumping into the next week.  If you were unable to attend the events, we missed you.  Hopefully we will be able to see each other at the next event.
